Compressor Operation

To maximize the operation of a Mudhen, including processing time, water clarity, and dry cakes:

• Start the compressor to draw water from the slurry container @ 10 PSI
  This will pre-coat the cloth material of the filter plates so that the water being discharged is of the best clear quality
• When the water’s clarity is acceptable (after 5 – 10 minutes), increase the compressor’s speed (PSI)
  Typical air adjustments are 5 PSI at a time over the coarse of a minute or two
• Eventually the Mudhen will stall because of backpressure from solids as they continue to accumulate in the filter plates
• This is your notice to increase air pressure to the Mudhen to 80 PSI maximum
