What good is moving all of the silica dust – if it isn’t completely contained? Both filter bags can be used with all 3 size blowers (16″ single speed, 16″ & 24″ variable speed). The open end of the filter bags are oversized, allowing them to be used on larger size blowers (up to 32″ diameter).

Fitted over the shroud of the blower, the filter bags are secured using a hose clamp or ratchet strap.

High Efficiency Silica Dust Containment Bags

  • Made from 100% cotton sateen (canvas or blue jean / denim material)
  • 30″ bag opening with large 5′ and 11′ nylon zippers for easy cleaning and emptying
  • Filter bags are typically secured to the shrouds with a ratchet tie-down strap (see below).
  • Filtration Efficiency Rating: 25% @ 0.1 um
  • Maximum Air Flow from the Blower (Air speed the filter bag can handle): Varies with bag size.

    Large Collection Yields. 7′ filter bag easy holds 200+ pounds of dry silica dust before the filter sock needs cleans. As you collect the volume and the filter bag fills, you’ll eventually being to notice the debris reversing its flow into the bag and exiting on the intake side of the blower. This is your sign that the filter bag is long overdue to be emptied and cleaned.

    Lower Suction Drop. The smoothness of the media ensures excellent cake release from the surface of each filter bag. While the homogenous nature of pore distribution prevents the particles from penetration and being retained in the filter media. Both of these factors figure together to ensure a lower suction drop (longer operating times) than with conventional felt filters.

    Lower Emissions. The fineness and even distribution of the pores also creates a higher efficiency rating with dusts that contain a high proportion of fume (particles less than 3 micron).

    Extreme Durability. Made of a canvas / blue-jean denim type of material for rugged durability, wear and tear resistant. A+ for efficiency rating and durability, even while being handled and dragged for disposal. Re-useable, completely washable

    • AIRSTREAM Performance:
      • Inside containment, 90% Clean
      • Outside containment, 100% Clean
      • Filter bag was emptied and clean after 5 working days.

    Sand Blasting Project (The same filter bag from the above application was used – it wasn’t washed).
